Top 20 Ryan Reynolds Movies, Ranked

One of Canada’s sweethearts is Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and from an early age, he dreamed of leaving, not to go to his family or his birthplace but to do something.

By what he said, he and another actor from Vancouver abruptly left Vancouver one night for Los Angeles.

On his first night in Los Angeles, his car was broken into and robbed after he took the first step toward realizing his aspirations.

Did that put a stop to our fearless hero? In fact, no. Reynolds started getting jobs throughout town after only a few months, working whenever he could.

Comic chops to make a brief appearance in Harold & Kumar as a doubting nurse. Visit White Castle to become an enduring internet meme.

But until he became well-known in 2009, a man who had made the icky comedy Waiting had to do just that.

Reynolds made Smokin’ Aces and Blade: Trinity earlier, sure, but in 2009 he appeared in Greg Mottola’s Adventureland, which was created after Superbad, as the Merc With A No Mouth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and co-starred in the Sandra Bullock romantic comedy The Proposal.

17. Finder’s Fee (2001)

The Finder’s Fee is a detective story written by Agatha Christie and published in 1944. It’s one of Christie’s most famous novels and tells the tale of two brothers who search for their lost father. Although the story takes place in England, finder’s fees are universal.

Essentially, this is the money that people pay to have lost objects found.

Anyone who has misplaced something will understand the heartache and frustration of searching for it without success. Having to pay finders to look for it can be a blessing- but it can also help to take some precautions.

Fulfilling the role of a finder is a way for people to find closure when their items go missing. Finders get to feel like they helped find something that they lost.

Additionally, they receive payment for their trouble- which can be stressful but lucrative simultaneously.

There are rules and regulations when finding someone else’s property; authorities determine those rules and regulations. However, most of these guidelines are in place to protect the finder as much as the property being sought.

18. Woman In Gold (2015)

The Woman in Gold is a 2015 American drama film based on Kerry Gold’s 2014 book of the same name Kerry Gold.

It tells the story of a woman’s fight for her family’s ancestral home after Austria’s parliament voted to return it to the country in 2015.

The woman in the film is Maria Augustiner-Schwester Augustin, also known as Maria Augustin, a nun, and German poet during the Protestant Reformation.

The news report that opened the movie on January 18, 2014, states that Austria’s national and international media cover nearly simultaneous events.

These events take place at the German National Museum in Munich, Germany. The museum displays artifacts from the confiscated Jewish gold collection from the Nazi era.

A group of protesters storm the museum and forcibly remove several priceless artifacts, including a golden chalice, crowns and coronets, and a Torah.

When the protesters blow their whistles to disperse the crowd, Austrian police arrive and arrest many of the protesters.

While being escorted from the museum grounds, one of the protesters drops her coat with an insignia sewn onto it- an insignia depicting a woman carrying a torch.

She was trying to protest against the Nazis using artistic propaganda to promote their ideology- just as she sees happening at the museum. She accidentally tears it when she tries to take off her coat, leaving her insignia behind.

As she explains this incident to her arresting officer outside the museum grounds, she sees that he is examining her coat for damage, as he had been instructed to do.

She then notices that he has examined her coat with great care and has let her keep it- something he would not have done if he had not believed her story to be true.

The film tells the story of a woman’s fight for her family’s ancestral home after Austria’s parliament voted to return it to the country in 2015.

The film begins in 1933 when eight-year-old Maria Augustin moves into Stift Göttengräbben with her younger brother Max and sister Helene.

Helene became blind shortly after they moved into Stift Göttengstättigen, so Maria became her eyes.

To support herself and her siblings while attending school at Stift Göttengrathausen, Maria worked as a governess for Count Karl Max von Spreti-Spreti’s family estate in Göttingen, Germany.

19. Safe House (2012)

In the action thriller Safe House, CIA agents hide a young woman in a safe house to keep her safe from her country’s government.

At first glance, this narrative might seem similar to Joseph Conrad’s novella Heart of Darkness. Both set the stage for a mysterious journey into the unknown- but where Conrad used his setting to convey a sense of horror and dread, Jose Padhchiett’s Safe House uses its location to bring security and safety.

In the process, it uses some exciting ideas to create an environment that will keep its protagonist safe from a deadly enemy.

The concept behind Safe House is brilliant because it conveys a sense of security and safety without relying on cliche ideas of sheltering someone from a dangerous outside threat.

In safe houses, the government provides for the people’s basic needs. This one provides for the safety and survival of a young woman fleeing her country’s government. Doing so gives her a sense of safety and security against the dangers she faces on her way.

The safe house resident has enough food, water, and shelter to keep herself healthy and comfortable while she recovers from her injuries.

It has beds, chairs, tables, and even a kitchenette with enough food for her to eat regularly. She also has medical supplies in case she needs them.

Everything inside is sterilized and ready for her use.

Safe House conveys a sense of safety and security through careful planning and consideration on the part of its lead character.

The government ensured its unwilling tenant felt secure against threats she faced on her way to their secret location.

Although dangerous herself, the lead character felt safe and comfortable while recovering from an injury in her home away from home.

Anyone who has ever gone through difficult circumstances knows how much comfort these things can bring in your darkest hours. For that reason, this movie is definitely worth watching!
