Alina discovers that she is a Grisha. Grisha is the one with special gifts and the one who waits to address a dire need in the universe. The Grisha universe has a few nations – Ravka, Fjerda, Shu Han, Kerch, Novyi Zem, and Wandering Isle.
Each of these nations has elements of language, culture, and traditions that they adapt from the countries of the real world. The first season of this series features a criminal gang called Crows, while the second season adapts Siege and Storm.
