The protagonist of this series is Ralph Anderson (played by Ben Mendelsohn), who is a detective in the Cherokee City police department. He is a recovering alcoholic. He struggles to cope with the loss of his son, Derek. Derek died of cancer. 

Jason Bateman plays the role of Terry Maitland in this series. Terry is a baseball coach of Little League. He is arrested for the murder of Frankie Peterson. Bill Camp plays the role of Howie Salomon. Howie is the trusted lawyer of Glory Maitland (played by Julianne Nicholson). 

The Silent Sea (2021)

The title of this series derives from The Sea of Tranquility on the moon. The plot of this series features a crewed mission to retrieve samples from a lunar research base. This series has elements of science fiction. It also has thrilling and mysterious elements that help these series receive positive reviews from audiences as well as critics. 

The story follows a time in the future when our Earth is suffering from extreme desertification. Draconian measures are being taken for portable water rationing. Song Ji -, who is a scientist, is on a mission to the moon. He and his team are headed to Balhae Station in order to retrieve a mysterious and sensitive sample. 

Shadow and Bone (2021)

Storyline: Shadow and Bone is an American fantasy tv series that is based on two series of books by Leigh Bardugo, named Shadow and Bone Trilogy and Six of Crows duology. 

This series adapts the story of Alina Starkov, who is a young orphan and cartographer of the Ravka nation’s First Army. Ravka is home to most of the Grisha where they can live safely. Alina discovers that she is a Grisha. Grisha is the one with special gifts and the one who waits to address a dire need in the universe. The Grisha universe has a few nations – Ravka, Fjerda, Shu Han, Kerch, Novyi Zem, and Wandering Isle. 

Each of these nations has elements of language, culture, and traditions that they adapt from the countries of the real world. The first season of this series features a criminal gang called Crows, while the second season adapts Siege and Storm.
